Fender Guitars

Fender guitars, the Stratocaster, telecaster, P-body bass guitar and jazz master guitar, are the most copied guitars on the market. They have been used by some of the most popular and best musicians in the world for decades. Beginners and professionals alike have used their amazing guitars to produce some of the best, and possibly worst sounds ever recorded.

Fender guitars began in 1946 and were originally hand-made by Leo Fender himself. He was a radio-operator and repairman who had experience repairing many different audio devices from phonographs to amplifiers. He began working on amplifiers eliminating some of the poor designs that were common in early vacuum-tube amplifiers.

The first commercially mass produced Fender guitars were produced in 1951 and were later named Telecasters. That same year he introduced the precision bass, the first electric bass in the style of a guitar with frets. This immediately led to the modern band combo of guitarist, bassist, and drummer as they could easily fill a room with sound which wasn’t possible before amplification.
